About Solar1

Built for solar teams that have outgrown their tools.

Most solar installation companies grow from 5 to 20 to 50 people using the same patchwork of tools they started with — a CRM, a spreadsheet, an accounting tool, a permit tracker, a WhatsApp group. Solar1 exists to replace that stack with one platform that works the way a solar EPC actually operates.

Our position

The solar ERP every solar team should already have.

That's the framing we operate from. Not “better than the competition.” Not “here's a new category.” Solar installation teams need what every operational business needs — one system for all departments, accurate job costing, and visibility into what's happening in the field. Solar1 is that system, built specifically for solar EPCs.

“Most solar companies finish a project before they know whether it was profitable. The cost accounting comes after the final invoice — which is too late to adjust anything.”

The operational gap Solar1 was built to close

Solar1 in one sentence

A complete operational platform for solar installation teams — CRM, operations, permitting, finance, HR, and field service — with guided implementation and long-term support included.

How we build

The principles that shape what Solar1 is — and isn't.

Operational clarity, not feature bloat

Solar1 is not built to win a feature checklist comparison. It is built so that an operations manager at a 15-person solar company can open one screen and know the status of every active job, every permit, and every outstanding invoice. That requires less, done right — not more, done carelessly.

The truth over the comfortable answer

If a feature doesn't work well for solar installation teams, we don't ship it. If a customer's workflow needs to change to get value from the platform, we tell them. If something we built isn't performing, we fix it before we build the next thing.

Long-term partnership, not a login and a link to the docs

Every Solar1 customer gets a guided implementation, department-by-department training, and a dedicated point of contact — not a help center and a ticket queue. Solar installation is an operationally complex business. The software partner should reflect that.

Specificity over generality

There are 3,400 AHJ jurisdictions in the United States. Solar sales cycles are different from SaaS sales cycles. Job costing for an installation company is different from job costing for a consulting firm. Solar1 was built for this industry, not adapted from software built for another one.
