Common questions
What's included in the free trial?
Your 14-day trial gives you full access to every feature on your chosen plan — job costing, milestone invoicing, permit workflow, AHJ lookup, and QuickBooks sync. No feature gates, no credit card required. You can import your existing data and invite up to 5 teammates during the trial.
Can I import data from SolarSuccess?
Yes. Solar1 supports CSV import for projects, contacts, and job cost data. If you're coming from SolarSuccess, our onboarding team will walk you through the migration — typically a 2-hour process. Growth plan customers get a dedicated migration session included.
Is there a per-project fee?
No per-project fees, ever. Both plans are flat monthly rates — one for Starter, one for Growth. Run 10 projects or 200; the price stays the same.
Do you support both residential and commercial?
Yes. Solar1 is designed for both residential and commercial/industrial solar installers. Job costing, permit workflow, and inventory management work for all project types. The AHJ lookup covers residential and commercial jurisdictions across all 50 US states.
What happens when I exceed my seat limit?
On the Starter plan (5 seats), you'll get an in-app prompt to upgrade to Growth before adding a 6th user. No lockouts or surprise overages — you're always in control. Growth plan has unlimited seats with no caps.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Solar1 is month-to-month with no long-term contracts. Cancel anytime from your account settings and you'll retain access through the end of your billing period. We'll export all your data in a portable format on request.
